[QUOTE=apessino]They are pretty boring videos by any means, don't hate me for them.

One of these days I'll make an update about the HP2 Sport (once I get it back from the shop with its new ceramic slipper clutch).

Great videos and awesome bikes! thanks for sharing. I do need to test ride a K1300S someday although I do enjoy revving the F800ST and still remaining under 100 whereas I don't think that would be possible on the K ;-) Perhaps I'll run into you at Irv Seaver one day.

Maybe I should have stayed in video games...

Got put off the industry after I spent a lot of time putting a J2ME project (a port of Atari's Tempest) together for a publisher whose business model was to not pay the developers.

Anyway, I'm seriously thinking about one of the big Ks, but without all the plastics on it.

Fortunately I live outside the US, where they actually sell this model.

luggage?

Anyone here using something a bit bigger than the BMW side cases--maybe some GIVI bags?

I have been after a K12S or K13S for a long time. I prefer the front fairing on the 12S but am also drawn to the increased torque/roll-on of the K13S (and reports of 'quicker handling'). I am on the lookout for a warranty buyback bike - a local dealer had 2 of them a while back and it seems like they are a few thousand less than an equivalent used bike with the safety of a full warranty etc. If the Kawasaki ZX14 came with an ABS option in the USA, it would be a much more difficult choice.

Take care - Wolfhound

Horses have had a place at the barn here, and some have gone on to other pastures, but this '05 K12S thoroughbred remains. Zero issues for five years. There is an untamed rawness to this K12S that thrills. Monster engine. One of the finer inline 4 exhaust notes. Also like its 3D appearance touches more than the slabbier K13S, but this is me. A sweet in-the-bike feel to it. The ESA works... as does everything else.

Good to hear. Local dealer has a loaded blue/white '05 with 5,000 miles for $10K. Or a black '08 with 15,000 miles for $12K incl. a monster extended warranty.

Are the servo brakes of the earlier models a love it or hate it thing? The ESA to me sounds good other than the cost to overhaul them - at least the option is there if you don't want to switch to regular Ohlims or Wilbers.

One question - does the stock nom-ESA bike suffer from the front end being essentially unadjustable?

Take care - Wolfhound

I have BMW bikes with and without the servo brakes. I have no issues with either. Some hate the servo brakes, but it isn't a big deal at all to me, whether the bike is running or not.

Love my servo

Gotten use to riding with the servo. The 05 K12S .. is a stud.
Studders a little .. but get it going and it just will fly with the ESA .. SWEET

The ST is the same way. Servo brakes. Doesn't have the pickup ..but you feel the engine braking more. Love's her Rpm's.

New to me ST will need a little better set of shocks. Dives a little too much for me.

Looks more like an off white or a real light grey, I like it either case. I felt that I'd get bored with the orange after a while and I want this bike to stay here for a few years
