Geez thanks Rick, now you're gonna pick on me in multiple forums. You're as bad as Ben. It was great how everyone was standing around taking pictures instead of helping me get the bike level. At least Bob lent me a hand.

Paul - That's exactly what happened. There was a bike eating rut on Blanchard Creek Road that I fell into and decided to try and power out of and did a wheelie on the way out - and couldn't get the front end back down, the action packer saved it from flipping over. I just ended up walking off the back of the bike and we all know how light the KLR is so I kind of "gently" "Parked it" as the picture indicates. The bike didn't suffer any real damage, but most important thing is I came out unscathed. Was kind of fun in twisted sort of way, well until the pictures started showing up everywhere

Sorry Marc, It was not my intention to pick on you. I simply think it's a very ADVesque picture. You are right that Bob got there before me to help you pull the bike down and for that I have no excuse.

Got a little brisk ride in today... more of an errand ride... what other good excuse would you have for pulling the bike outta the garage..

Visited my way back from the P.O. -- Lamotovita where were you?

Dillon: Please note that the Kawi's have a tendency to be a little cold blooded, even after an hours visit in the 40's....

R_R's tip to me was: Neutral, Choke on and start from there.... seems to work pretty well for both the MC and the ATV.

This may have been my last ride for the year...

... is it March yet? HOODOO!
.. Is it June yet? HELL's CANYON
... is it July yet? TTT
... is it August yet? MONTANA

Bump!

As I sit here in the midst of a blizzard... planning on places to venture to this summer -- Does ANYBODY know of any Canadian/Washington/Idaho/Montana Border trails? Would be most interested in "jeep" trails.

Anybody have weekend trips into the mountainous areas planned this coming riding season?

And on that note... I'd best learn to change out a tire....

Uh... NEGATIVE.

I was talking to one of the DEA guys in our building who is also a border patrol agent ... got to thinking that there have to been some pretty awesome jeep trails along the border... I'll have to pin him down on those and if they are accessible by public...

most of them around here are on blm land and are open to all. sometimes you'll get your picture taken, or i have even set off a few sensors they have. then they come to see what's going on, but b.p. agents here are all pretty layed back [ lazy ] so when are you coming over for a ride??? some jeep trails, some single track, miles and miles of lonely dirt roads just waiting to be explored on 2 wheels.

Westside shopping spree.....

Amazing the peeps you run into out at WESTSIDE Motorsports. Picking up my skid plate (FINALLY!) and a few other necessities -- ATV oil filter -- portable tire changer and multipurpose tool -- Damn Les is a good salesman! .. all but talked me into that dual-sported-up Versys! Gave me a check list for the pre-season maintenance... uh, why did nobody let me in on all the damn Items I'm supposed to be checking on?! That haven't been checked for oh say, the last two years?

Hoping WestSide will put on some kind of spring maintenance training. That would be a beautiful thing.

Met the "Slice" -- welcome! and hope to see you out on the road!

Dillon,... interesting hair cut you have there hooligan! what couldn't you walk out with???
