Will have to get a headcount for the burgers and beer. Actually, am not too excited about letting people leave here after a beer or two...may have to rethink that part a bit.
Count me in. No beer for me, hopeing the weather is condusive to be on the bike.

Did about 70 miles this wonderful afternoon, blasting dirt roads around South Bonner and North Kootenai counties, with a little pavement thrown in where necessary. I topped off in Priest River and just headed out, with no real destination or plan in mind. Took a bunch of different "cut- off" roads and eventually ended up darn near in Hayden. Sometimes just finding out where a road goes is reason enough to take it. It ain't much, but at least it's a start.

Bluhduh Glad somebody got to ride....

Glad to know somebody took advantage of the weather and enjoyed some motorcycle riding. I got to do chores: pulled in some hay
Rerouted the trickle stream flooding the driveway (that was a little fun -- used the ATV)

raked up the leaves....took some pain pills... worked on the yard some more...

... ah Spring... with it comes the cleaning and after......the riding... well at least for SOME people!

The road was passable... but I have a few things to check on the KLX before I venture out.... tires, oil, pre-ride inspection, skid plate, etc. IT STARTED THO!!!

Perhaps next weekend....

Put 175 miles on in the last two days. So glad the weatherman blew the forcast! Even mix of dirt and tar. Best thing I found is that the rail system around CDA/P.Falls/ Hayden/Rathdrum is way faster and more fun to travel than the paved. The looks from people who follow you, only to have you roost off on to dirt rail trails is awesome. Looks like the bike will sit till Friday with freezing lows and major precip coming.

I put about 100miles on my KLX today. I even got to terrorize WU7X!
Oh and Buttercup, let me know if theres anything you are unsure of on your KLX. I can run out with the shop manual and a tool box.

Glad you had a good ride! Wish I could have gone out with you, but had too much home owner stuff to take care of. Nanc thinks you're a very nice young man. I didn't have the heart to tell her differently.

Did you find the ghost town? What, no pics?

Be a little careful with that. I understand a year or so ago some azzhat had strung barbed wire across that "trail" somewhere around Rathdrum. I don't know if they ever caught the guy.

Duly noted! I had a similar experience when I was younger. Thankfully it was strung low in a slow stretch of trail. They caught the old prick that did it! His civil punishment was light but we got even with him. Thanks again.
