@Live2Ride You need to get good with that thing, and start shooting commercials like that inmate in Oregon. He did parts of the new Tenere commercial with a copter cam.
A friend of mine from Port Angeles and his wife did a 3000 mile trip a couple years ago. He was on a KLR and she was on a Sherpa. She loved the bike. Good score.
As far as shooting commercials, I would need a bigger quad. I did see the video for the Yamaha, pretty cool.

GET good? I was pretty dang impressed! I am sure I would have been getting a ladder to retrieve it off of a roof or out of a tree!

Wasn't meant as an insult! Just meant as a suggestion of a way to make some money to fund his very expensive hobby! He is much better than I am at controlling said devices. I used to have a couple copters. Used to...

Thanks, I have been flying heli's for about 5 years and have had my share of crashes. They aren't cheap when they do crash.
You wanna see some good flying, watch Kootenai Rider fly.

It's got to be better than his riding.

Just kidding Paul! It's easier to bust your balls when you aren't here to defend yourself!

This kinda got lost in the conversation, but it bared repeating. Well said, LB.

When I first read this, I thought back to the first crazy ride I went on with Kootenai Rider. We were somewhere between Wallace and Murray, possibly in Montana(?), and we got to talking about this subject while man-handling some trees out of the "trail". We were discussing how I read a thread from somewhere in the ADV basement from a guy complaining about how this site was being taken over by "dirt riders" and it confused me. We were out having more of an "adventure" on our 98% dirt / 2% street bikes than he probably ever had on his way-too-farkled GS1200 that probably only ever got him to work and back. (I'm confident this is a fair assessment after looking at this gentleman's other posts.) Not that every adventure has to be off road (read: EmptiMind's snow-trek for example), but it should at least keep someone awake if you told them about it later.

I just wanted to second LB's quote to let the assessments as to what is an "adventure" to one's self.

The snow is melting just in time.... the cabin fever is rotting my brain.
If anyone is up for it, I might be able to hit Liberty Lake some evening next week if I don't kill my bike this weekend.

I'll take a snowy ride with an engine over pedaling any day!

Nice vid Paul. How long was the walk/train/boat ride to get there?

Nice video..... I bet that doggie was one pooped pup at the end of the day.

Keep trying to make fun of us and snow. You'll be missing out in a few weeks when I'm at the D100 and your not.

I doubt that I will be riding this weekend but my bikes are coming out of hybernation.

The first week of April a friend will be here from TX so I'm taking the week off work. We will probably heading out to 7-mile for some riding practice that Wed. and maybe Thurs. or Thurs. we might head to Liberty Lake. If anyone isn't working those days and would like to join us that's the plan.

Live2Ride I think one of those evenings we will head to Fredneck's for dinner and hopefully you, Brad, your dad if he's around will be able to join us. I know Barry would like to see all of you.
