Since a two up bike is being bought and Nanc is taking the MSF class does that mean she will be piloting and Dale will be relaxing on the back ?

Nanc says...
Time will tell. But she said it with a smile on her face!

It's home!
Got the R1150RT home yesterday afternoon. Took about nine hours to travel the 400 miles. Spent some time in McCall thawing out a bit and having lunch. starting melting around Riggins. By the time i got home I was pooped. I put the bike up on the center stand, Nanc comes out and first tries out the pillion. Says it's very comfortable. THEN, she slips into the front seat and says she likes that too.
We agree I get to pilot for 4-5 years, and then she takes command. (Maybe I'll have to get another bike by then). She says I'll be so old by then that maybe she'll get me a sidecar! Smart *ss!First impressions; totally different feel than the Dakar, DAH! Smooth and quiet. I came out of McCall doing 55, then looked down at speedo to see I was actually doing 85..there is no sense of speed on this bike! Did the twisties up between Boise and McCall and then from New Meadows to Riggins so easily I had to force myself to slow down. Pulled up White Bird like is was flatland. O.K., time to stop! Two great bikes in less than a year, that's enough. Still have lots to learn. Dale the Old Fart

Yea DALE! Glad you're liking your new bike! I'd love to test drive a Vstrom... but I'm still a little chicken to ride somebody else's bike yet.
Anybody heading to the Trials Competition in Newport this weekend? I'm taking my ATV (kids accompanying) instead of my KLX...

Trials :-(
Hi Buttercup! Trials every weekend and always something else to do.
Have in-laws showing up this weekend. Would really like to watch the trials sometime. Have been interested in them since the '60's (Yikes!).Have fun with the kids. Oh, I've always liked the Wee-Stroms; would also like to try one sometime. If you ever want to try out the Dakar, let me know. The seat is at 34.5" and it weighs over 400 lbs. But is a very fun ride.

Hi Everyone,
I got a lot of pictures from last weekends Trials but the internet where I am right now is too slow to be able to do much picture posting. I'll post them when I get back to real internet. PNWbuttercup, you're in charge of taking pic of the trial this weekend. Oh yeah, where's the pics of the vintage motocross from last weekend.

Do you the name of the restaurant in McCall that the bike is parked in front of? From inside, you can look down at the marina and watch the sailboats. They had a great bacon and egg breakfast!

Pic of first view
When I got to the airport at Boise, Mike (the soon-to-be previous owner) picked me up. I got my first view of Blue. That's Mike from Twin Falls in the pic. Very nice guy, very clean bike!
