I'll stick it into the GPS!

I'm going to try to make it down that road tomorrow. Today, I have to find a bolt that holds the subframe on my bike. Lost one on a ride apparently yesterday. Ooops! Was cleaning the bike up prior to installing the new oil sensor when I noticed that the bolt was gone. Actually, I could possibly have lost it while riding down in the Ellensburg area. Glad I was taking the time to check and retorque bolts as I was cleaning it up.

Yep, thats the one. Whats so cool about it is there is no ditch between the road and the field, the wheat grows right up next to the road. you feel like your driving IN the field, not next to it.

I heard recently that the Happy Hermit resturant (south side of Lake Pend Orielle, at Lakeview) is closing the doors after Labor Day. It was an OK place, in a neat location for a forest service road ride. About 25 miles of dirt road, up from Bunco Road (by Silverwood). Anyone interested in a ride there before it's too late? I need to check hours, I know they have cut back already. I think they're only open Fri-Sun, but need to check on that.

Happy Hermit is closing? I don't know if I'd call it great either, but hey, when you want a burger and some gas in the middle of no where, its nice to have. I'd patronize when I could. (er go there, not make fun of them)

Just so you don't forget and it fell back about 5 pages:

Meetup

Date: Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011

Time: 2:00 PM

Where: Big Eddy, Calder, ID

A 2:00 pm gives plenty of time to get there no matter which way you decide to ride.

Let the ride plans start - get together with the people you enjoy riding with and come up with your plan for the ride to the Big Eddy.

Who wants to do pavement?

Who wants to do fast dirt?

Who wants to do slow dirt? (that would be me - SLOW as in slug pace )

Looks like I may get to go to this one after all. I need to log some miles on the 950 to sort out fuel mileage, tire pressures and suspension settings. Anybody planning to run dirt most of the way down?

I have taken a couple days off work and this works into the plan perfectly. I will be there Wed if anybody comes down early.

I will be pulling my trailer down Wed morning. I will be camping in luxury Leaving my house around 9ish. If you ride down there we could ride back toward Cataldo via dirt over Rocheat Divide. There are a couple of side trips from that road I have been wanting to explore.

Hi everyone, I have invited a new person to join in on the fun for the 20th. He has a nice F800 enjoys riding on dirt but hasn't met others yet that like to get their bikes dirty. Hopefully he will get registered here soon and pop in to introduce himself. When he does be sure to give him a great big welcome.

How many of you are going to camp down at Calder the weekend of the 20th. I'm thinking about making a weekend of it but don't have firm plans yet. Rainbow has already posted she will be down there camping and I think A19 said something about doing that too.

Has anyone heard from Big Jer lately? We need to see if we can get him to come join us that weekend, it's been a while since I've seen him too.
