I got to go for an itsy bitsy (okay maybe a mile or two) ride tonight.. that still counts right?

It was an errand ride...

Hope the weather holds for this weekend. I'm sure all of those who are suited up for any type of weather have not stopped riding....

Of course it counts. Motorcycle miles are like dog years!

An hour on the RT yesterday

and hope to do the same on the Dakar today. Unfortunately, no gravel, but still fun!

Bought a new snow blower and keep taking it out of the garage and firing it up. Trying to do some reverse mojo to keep it from snowing.

Does anyone know where I could rent some safe garage space to park the RT for the white months in north spokane? Need electricity for a battery tender.

Only 20 miles in the sun!

It's been a very busy day but i did get ~20 miles in. Rode down to the Rocket in the Garland district and met a friend for a cup of coffee. Then came home via Indian Trails and Rutter Parkway along the Little Spokane River. Rutter is becoming my favorite "go to" ride; lots of little twists and turns, drop dead beautiful scenery, and usually little traffic. It's close enough so that I can do a full one hour loop drive and still get home to finish chores around the house before dark. Riding the RT through there is all quiet power and focused corners. The Dakar is like a testosterone loaded juvenile zipping around corners and zooming down the straights. Both are good for ear to ear smiles.

Anyone else have a favorite get away like this nearby?

Sadly the KLR is still sitting in the garage...hasn't moved since May.

I'm taking out the CR for a short putt... can't ride too hard, my back isn't 100% yet. (of course the Dr did say I should pursue other hobbies)

A couple little favorites:

Ride around CdA Lake with a stop in Rockford for dinner at Frednecks.

Over 4th of July pass, up the north fork of the CdA river, to Murray, ID for lunch at the Sprag Pole. Then over Kings Pass to drop into Wallace and back over 4th of July. This is a beautiful time of year for that ride as the leaves should be nice colors.

Chances of pulling my bike out of the garage for a one hour ride probably isn't going to happen, I'm lazy that way. Watch out for the sand on the corners on Rutter Parkway, especially as the weather gets colder.

Dr. saying other hobbies, as in not motorcycling? Time to pursue finding another Dr. that will work with you to keep you riding.

Have a fun ride but please do take it easy.

Now that I have been to the Sprag Pole and some of that area I am a bit more envious when I hear about riding that area.

For now I am just hoping for a dry weekend so I can get thetourist out on the road and head to Elk City , Idaho City , and Winchester for a day ride.

Did an all dirt ~270 miler last month with a buddy.

Valleyford > Fairfield> Plummer > Benewah > St. Maries > Mt. Baldy/Rochet > Cataldo > 4th of July > Harrison > St. Maries > Rockford > Valleyford.

Buddy showed up late and had to be to a dinner at 6:00pm. Not any time to take pictures. Only stopped for gas. Really pushed-it. Ride took 8.5 hours.

Rutter Parkway this afternoon around 2:00

I want to get in as many days as possible before the white stuff shows up. I sincerely hope that the weathermen and women are wrong about 95" this winter.

Meet after breakfast @10, last CDA exit at the end of Sherman at the gas station?
NO WHINERS! It might snow next week, ride now, it might be the last chance to hit the hills.
