Five miles of hell.....well almost.
A little late but here are pic of my ride in may to Moab and a few trails. Well we passed five miles of hell.. first day on the ride...not advisable until a few miles to warm up..yea right, warm up.
So..this is where we started.
Should we so early in the trip.....Naw, we were too lazy today.
that nice warm seemed great here.
an here, but we were about to have some fun
A little stop for some sight seeing and photo op.
of course a few adjustments before the tuff stuff
the trails were leading to somewhere the guys kept saying I'd like alot. the stopped ofter and laughed. It must have been my Honda since they all were riding KTM's
We just rode up that canyon
Nice views, but do I hafta ride down that trail?
I guess the old Honda is keeping up with them KTM's..I'm not though. Running out of talent about now.
Who care about talent, its a beautiful trail. I'll worry about the pain tomorrow.
It's amazing that these guys don't use heavy duty tubes. they changed four tires.
the next day. some slick rock riding..and some rain to go with it!
So I parked my bike here to snap a few pictures...
and it slid off the cliff here. see the peg grind marks
the only damage; broken front master cylinder and a dented swingarm. could have been far worse.
and then this happened. Pete fell and broke four ribs.
So..it was head home and plan for another trip soon.
and look what we get to drive in! Hey I'm from California. we don't do snow on the highways.
2014 KTM 690 Enduro R, 2014 EXC500,2012 BMW GTL1600, 2015 BMW F800 GS Adventure, , 2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP and 16 other motorcycle projects in various stages of completion. It's an addiction thing.

I cringe when my bike falls over in a parking lot. Never had it fall off a cliff before.
Was there an echo in the canyon when your palm smacked your forehead?
Seriously though, cool report thanks for sharing.

Those look like good pics! They just need to be bigger!
That's a neat area. I heard about that 5-miles of hell trail long ago, but still haven't done it! One o' these days!
