Weekend dirt biking camp

Had a 5 day weekend and took Brenda for a taste of some real dualsporting. We had a great time and she got a feel for her bike on gravel, steep two track, and rutted steep jeep roads. It was fun seeing her grow and gain confidence in her abilities. Some pics.

This look on her face was a frequent sight. We rode each mornning about 35 miles each time. SHe's starting to really like this stuff!

More............

Couple more....
It was beautififul up there, plenty of good exploring...

Wildcat has been our favorite campground for summertime for a lot of years; the reason is no mosquitos, no assholes with boats, there is water (mill creek), and it's just a great quiet peaceful campground. Bonus is the great riding and scenic vistas.

My best BuckNasty impression.....

There's a short story here...

On the way up to this viewpoint Brenda was leading; she had followed me earlier in the trip and ended up on the really steep (for a beginner) jeep track and panicked and stopped.....when I got to her she was a little histerical and freaked out about how to get back down this road. She had a death grip on the bars and a look of pure terror in her eyes....I talked her through it and got her to put her feet on the pegs so she had a rear brake to control her descent.
Well..........she wasn't about to let that happen again! She was leading like I said and she was keen on keepring her speed up when going up hills, I was 10 yards or so behind her and I saw through the trees that there was a barbedwire GATE rght around this uphill switch back.....well Brenda had seen the hill but not the GATE and was building up steam in a hurry.....I panicked and couldn't find my horn button and got to watch her come to a skidding sideways stop with her front tire touching the gate. She was really excited and I was proud of her awesome panic stop on gravel no less.
No pics of the gate but a few pics

Some more pics....

That's all folks, thanks for looking. Going back there in a couple weeks to do more of the same!

Great photos..looks a fabulous place and loads of fun.

But for 'real dualsporting' you should have ridden the bikes there and back, not trailered them.
