Speaking of luggage and Triumph Triples, have any of you ever tried these??

Offered by Touratech for both the Speed and Street....

Still planning on settling on one or the other this weekend once I can get to the dealer....

Nice Street Triple additions

The Street Triple is a fantastic bike. I loved mine, but jumped ship for the new 800 Tiger. A couple things that helped out in the adventure touring realm were the addition of Givi luggage guards on the pipes and the Silverstone sport luggage set. An airhawk on the seat also helped and Givi makes small engine mounted protection bars that are not overwhelming.

I still miss it (at least until my Tiger arrives)

About the only thing I didn't like was the abrupt on-off throttle when riding in town. Once up and rolling it was the most fun you can have with clothes on.

Touratech luggage is nice, but $1,500+ US is too rich for my blood.

I'll wait to see what the new Tiger 800's are really like, but I'm stongly leaning toward the STR.

I think tomorrow will be the day.... Found a black 2011 R Model @ another dealer, but the price is right and the dealer seems cool...

Assuming all goes well, I should no longer be bikeless tomorrow...

The black and gold ones rock! I would leave the gold on the wheels.

Got out for about 55 miles today...I really like it thus far, though staying below 5K rpm's is a drag....Can't wait to get to open her up a bit...

Pics promised (even though they're crappy cell phone pics...)

Absolutely beautiful! Congrats!

The Street Triple is got to be the nicest looking bikes currently on the market.

I didn't think I would like the gold wheels but, man........ they are growing on me.

Thanks

I'm still torn on them... I didn't think I'd like them and would be pulling them for powder coat as soon as I got home...But amazingly enough, they're growing on me too and I like the look more everytime I look at it...

I do need to figure out the bag situation though as I've got a few trips planned for the summer... I did see that Giviusa.com has added soft sidebag support racks for it to their website recently...Might just go that route as I really doubt the TT bags would look right on this bike...The fact that I emailed TT asking if they had any additional pics of them installed and they didn't makes me even more hesitant to drop that kind of coin on them....

I have to admit a fair bit of "skimming the edge" on the 5k limit... so hard getting time to ride in this cold weather in colorado, that sticking to 5k for the few times I get to is difficult. I do my best though.
