That means the "classics" will go on sale (just like they did with the Speedie).

I wonder if the new lights work any better than the old.

I dig it.

Hell for Leather's commentary on reaction to the Speed's redesign is hilarious:

Quote:
The reaction to the new 1050cc Speed Triple’s oh-my-god-not-round headlights from you impossibly conservative motorcyclists was predictably scandalized. One frightened biker cried, “How dare they change the design of a bike that’s been around for five whole years?!” “Change makes me cry,” screamed another. “Why isn’t it still 1971?! Why?!” bawled another. I just made those up, but you get the idea.

I'm not sure I like that. I was hoping they'd stick with the round lights for the streety. Hmm

If the lights are better that'd be cool, but I'm neutral on the design change. Love mine that I just got

If Mivv would make a set of Ghiblis for it that would be quite tasty.

Bump....
When looking for tankbags, I could find very few pics online...So I took extras in case some other poor bastard is trying to find pics installed....

Givi T480 Tankbag
Givi BF02 Mount Ring

Mount Ring

Bottom of Bag - Mount Bracket Location is adjustable....I ended up moving the bag all the way forward....

From cockpit...

No chance to ride with it yet.... My preliminary thought is that the bag might seem too big, but will reserve that determination until after I get to ride with it....

And while I think the new Streety headlights look nice, I'm completely content with the '11 model I recently got...

This one is a photoshop but rumor has it that the new Striple will be out next monday

From:
http://www.laguna.co.uk/laguna-news-...x?itemid=11741

On Monday we will receive the first few examples of the hotly anticipated 2012 Street Triple
Triumph have made the following changes.
New headlights similar to the latest Speed Triple
Brushed finish on exhaust system and heat shields
Daytona-style swingarm adjusters with covers
Black finish on rider control plates, sidestand, disc centre and gear change linkage
New frame infills with mesh details near headstock
Machined handlebar end weights
Standard Street Triple now gets aluminium handlebars as per the "R" version
New graphics on fuel tank and rear panel
New Colours

Street Triple
Phantom Black, Crystal White, Imperial Purple
Street Triple R
Phantom Black, Crystal White, Diablo Red

So no fast orange StreetR anymore , I think Triumph realised these were just to powerful, so new owners are stuck with these boring slow colors
Also no mention of ABS, probably that will be announced in august....for the 2013 model Street

really surprised the flyscreen isn't standard, as it cleans up the front end and integrates the new lights much better.

still want.
