Hope you all enjoy this as much as me and my buddy Scott Stevenson (AKA DingWeed) did.
It was 27 days and about 5,300 miles of dirt, sand, rocks and lots of mud from the Mexican border town of Lochiel, AZ (population zero--or so we thought) to the Canada border on a dead end dirt road.
After getting to the Canada border our ride was really only about half over--the ride back a different way was even better.
We rode Yamaha WR250R's and were joined for a little while with a buddy of mine on an adventure equipped WR450F and also one day from John AKA the infamous Emmerson Bigguns.
Our routes in Idaho were not ours--Martin Hackworth who created the Tour Of Idaho at MotoJazz helped us out on that.
I have made 2 stabs at the North to South TID route where an injury and other circumstances didn't let me finish it. We as a team not only completed what Martin calls T1----we also did his West to East route called T2 back to back with a connector route thru Washington and Oregon and Hells Canyon.
We camped on this ride a lot and had our problems--we overcame them all and we both made it back home safe and sound.
The ride goes thru the states of Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado, Washington and Oregon.
Here is where we started---an old border crossing in Lochiel, AZ---as you can see a very secure border location.

If we are going to watch more videos in this report, is it fair to ask if we have an in-house translator?

Good stuff Mark. I've been thinking of a west-of-the-CD ride as a loop to do maybe after a ride up the CD. Of course, that will be when I retire in a couple years. Since I won't be riding for a few more months, I'm subscribed.
