I thought that I was showing up early...but by the looks of all those canopies had the feeling that I was late!!

I did, however, make it just in time for tea.

Registration was even in full swing!

Woke up Thursday morning to the realization that I was camped next to a bunch of Canoodians.

..that made me kind of nervous!

eap, guitarhack, Mark-O and myself went on a little brunch run late that morning.....it was a picture perfect day to ride!

We stopped in W. Jefferson to see if Julie was at her coffee house I knew she'd take care of us with some good grub.

She was.....

.....and she did!

eap had already eaten so he opted for dessert instead.

She used to work for the same company that I do but made the gutsy move to chase a dream.

...that was 7 years ago already!

We're getting ahead of the storyline a little but the good news is that he was able to get up and walk away from a very scary crash!

Back to Thursday's mellow brunch run.....

Had Julie not been tending her shop the General Store in Todd, NC was our 'plan B' it made a good 'plan A' rest stop too.

We swung by the HD dealer in Wilkes as there was supposed to be a group of antique bikes ending a ride from Wheels Through Time there before continuing on to an event in Denton the following day. But we were an hour or more too early so we just took a scenic route back up the mtn to camp......
