It was a big relief to see him get up and seem to be OK... wasn't long before the tweetie birds singing around his head were obvious to anyone within earshot though and that earned him a night in the hospital even though he didn't look like he a scratch on him. Here he is wondering why he doesn't have a headlight.  I don't think anybody can question that that lid saved his life!  Even his bike appears to only have cosmetic damage.......

It was damp and foggy overcast all morning but no rain. Then just before reaching our lunch stop the skies began to clear.
  It wasn't too much longer before the remaining haze burnt off....  Lunch in Volney, VA

I didn't take many pics during my rides...they would be repeats from the scouting runs anyway, just more blurry.
 Couple more in Volney   After lunch pee stop.

Just a few more from Friday's ride.....
   The only casualty of the day was my own rear tire...noticed at the end of the ride.  But believe it or not, just like down in Daytona on my last brand new rear tire....it didn't penetrate through far enough to cause a leak!!

Immediately upon returning to camp there was an iDave sighting!
  Sweet old Honda Dream   Jake Mountain and redone  Big thanks to Jake Mountain for riding sweep for me both days!! ROBBLE did a great job riding relay as well, it wouldn't have worked without you guys! ...but I don't think there's a close up pics of him until Sunday.

I already posted at least 1/2 of the pics I took on Saturday...
red bud and I were dueling right from the start! maybe we should have stuck to cameras. The camera didn't come out until we were all safely out of the way and relatively OK.  I still have no idea how I didn't fall down too.  That fender was tucked up atop the tire...this is in straightened mode....not bad, eh?  Last pic of the day was taken after lunch from the parking lot of the Elk Creek Cafe....  I think there were 10 riders at the start and 7 of us continued after the 'surf break' We dialed the pace back a notch and had a good ride.

Sunday morning all packed up and ready to hit the road....
 Bandy had one more stunt up his sleeve though. Uuugh, what do you have loaded on this thing?!?  Our small group took a twisty scenic route south and landed in Love Valley for lunch.  Main st was practically empty....that's OK maybe we won't have to wait long for grub!
