Atop Newfound Gap in the GSMNP looking back down on the road up.

Traffic was heavy all the way down to sugarlands from the gap....but at least it kept moving...

I don't ride through here very often because of the traffic but it is pretty enough to suck it up every once in a while.

All the killboys must have packed up and headed for home by 5pm.....we rolled through the tail of the dragon about 5:30

We rode down to the Iron Horse resort and got our tents set up before dark then off to the diner for some grub, where we had a chance meeting with red bud's dad!

No pics though.....until Thursday morning. Jock was headed down to Alabama and I had an early afternoon appt. in Charlotte.

Last wave goodbye.

I am honored that Jock came to visit me on his 2 month random tour of the USA!

It was my pleasure to ride with the man, who btw is a class act gentleman!

It was cool and foggy down in the valley.....was kinda in a hurry and though to take the 4 lane through Asheville and all the way to home.

But....it looked like the sun was trying to burn through so I took a chance and hopped on the BRP from 74 and headed for sunnier skies.

Not only was it sunnier....it was warmer as well and virtually no traffic!
