Either way you take to get to Burnt Mill will take you down a windy single lane ribbon of pavement lined with trailers.

There's some lonely ribbons of single lane dirt nearby too.

This shack had been too overgrown to get near with a camera until the power company cleared the brush alongside the road where it sits.

After lunch I did a little maint. on the old DR650 and changed the oil in the Toyota pickup. It's now loaded in the back but I have yet to make a set plan for tomorrow.

Glad I made it out for a ride, what a great day!

Signage at Horse Pastures shows expanded dates...used to close on the 1st, now open until the 15th.

I went in the entrance at Rocky Bottom.

They're filling in all that RR gravel with some finer aggregates. Glad to be on the thumper.

There's a number of these scenic overlooks along the 'North' road.

Jumping Off Rock is the most popular.

The DNR actually closed off the 'old' overlook because of the nests but they built an 'improved' one along the ridge nearby, in an effort to keep people off the old one.

The view at the new area isn't too bad, eh?

The falcons are nesting along that cliff in the foreground.

I didn't happen to see any flying around and can't say if they're even still there or not.

The water in this lake is remarkably clear...and a pretty blue from up here.
