Excellent about Daytona!!!! I'm an ol MX fan, and have been keeping up this year. First in a while. I'm having fun with the 450s and the lights too. These guys just amaze the sh!t out of me.

Have a great time!

You have a fun thread that I have enjoyed very much. over 100K hits, and worth every one of them.

Oh and I have been using snoseal for 30 years stuff works. Sucks that you have to "heat it in" But really works.

That warm leather just sucks up all that waxy goodness and dinner is served.

Tomorrow I get to change the rear tire and inspect brakes and bearings.

You know what's funny about that SnoSeal? I asked my Dad to bring that to me all the way from MN but it turns out that it's made right here in SC!

I think it's best to warm the leather and open it's pores so that the conditioner can soak in....and it's easier to work with as a paste, if you heat the sno-seal up it'll get all runny.

That's what old underwear is for .... And boar bristle brushes are for too..
Plus just set your boot next to the wood stove they nice and warm....

OH and I like Duckback way better then snoseal...

OK...back to daytrippin'

I put that new rear tire on today and decided that the brakes and bearings were all still good.

Next was to take a little spin to scrub it in and make sure I had it balanced etc... Another nice sunny day but cool and breezy just like yesterday.

Same old topic, different targets.

I promise that one of these days I'll ride around and just take pics of nice new houses. They really do exist, really.

Hey Vern!

You should ridden down to Daytona Beach with jjsorkin and myself this past weekend!

We just blasted down the super slab to get there in hopes of staying as dry as possible. There was some light rain and drizzle near home but it was clear sailing all the way...then we got caught in a shower riding into town on 'the loop'

So no pics until after we had set up camp and rode over to check out what was happening on Main St. Lucked out and found parking just across the A1A.

Checked out a couple of bands....there's free concerts everywhere!

I was a bit surprised how many people were on Main St for opening night Friday. It's a pretty well behaved crowd though and quite rare to see a fight or even any nudity. Although you will come across a few 'models' for your photo shoot.

It used to be that anybody and everybody could cruise Main but now it has been limited to 'Bikes Only' so the actual motor traffic is much less.

Here's another 'girl' that was getting plenty of attention.

...poor thing looked like she was getting tired though..

Eat your heart out Mr. Cob!!
The World's Fastest Ural is in Daytona!

The boys pace the strip making sure everything remains safe for man and beast.

It's all good though, they just want to control the population growth on 'boot hill'

But without all the cars jamming up Main St. traffic......it may be a little trickier to catch certain offenders.

There's a great deal at the Speedway that tent camping is free with a race ticket. ....but... Not all of the gate workers seem to understand this.

There was some confusion when we arrived Friday evening but I made a few phone calls and came up with a plan 'B' Thank you Krautbikeman and Colemanfu!! Then I opened the internet browser on my phone in search of evidence to plead my case one more time....it worked! Actually I found a different person to speak to that actually knew what was going on.

Anyway, the showers are nice and the place is sparsely populated, maybe the best kept secret of Bike Week.

I did however, find other campers to socialize with.....it was pretty cool. And the rain held off until the middle of the night and had quit be daylight Saturday morning, so that was nice too.

and of course out in front of the speedway is where most of the manufacturers set up their displays as well as a hoard of aftermarket vendors.

Here's the Twisted Throttle Wee Strom decked out with almost as much crap as mine.
