I got to sit on a special parts carbon fiber Diavel today, not quite my type of machine, but once fired up it rips quite nicely:

Carbon tank is just mesmerizing:

No. If you run it flat out sitting upright, maybe, but I would think there is enough wind protection like my B-King, that if you duck a little bit, you are well protected.

I bet those mirrors are going to be a popular mod on a lot of bikes in the near future. :)

The weather finally broke and today I could go out and play on the Diavel which I got last week. I know its not everyone's cup of tea but for me it was love at first sight and it hasn't disappointed. I love it.

Haku,
Nice pictures. I really didnt fall in love with the looks at first. I thought the air intakes and the trim piece over the headlight area looked a bit cheap. Its sort of growing on me though.
You just need a CF hugger chain guard out back and the CF termis and thats gonna look "beast" as my 14 yr old would say.

You're right and all have been ordered and apart from the CF termi which I'm debating about. Its a noise issue and I may go with the homologated titanium CF exhausts. I'd also like to see what others like Akra come up with. So just a little wait on that.

Ducati is on a well deserved roll... Sales up 68% YOY for the first quarter: http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...?article=43910

Haku, your bike looks freaking awesome. I hope mine comes this week as the dealer suggested, I am getting rather impatient!

Thanks for the compliment. I know you've been expecting your bike soon but wasn't sure when. I do hope you get it pronto.

If its any consolation, I've had no riding today due to this part of the country being hit with everything from severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, and anything else that the weather decides to throw at us. So what to do but my taxes! Yuk!

Your's is a carbon red right?

Indeed - carbon red, full termi with carbon can. And it's 80F and sunny here... (of course I am just working anyhow, but I can dream, can't I? ).

Quite beautifully! No kidding. The roads around here are full of tight turns including a few hairpins (like the one on the pic) and the bike handles them comfortably. I just treat its power with respect and once one gets used to its characteristics you really can throw this bike around the twisties without surprises.

Sorry I am not feeling bad for you cause you cant ride your Diavel in the 80 degree sun. You have plenty of other toys in the garage to keep you preoccupied!!!!!

This bike makes a V-Rod look insignificant.
