Franki,
I loved your report, fantastic photo's and the commentary is excellent. I was wondering if you might be heading to the "Guoliangcun Tunnel" anytime soon, I would love to tag along if possible. Just love the "Middle Kingdom".

Thanks Mate.

Thank you very much for the Tibetan marvel and caring comments and insight
Whish i was 15 years younger and 15 " shorter or half of all Tbetans would die, laughinh themselves silly seeing 6 8" on such a small bike
Truly amazing to paraphrase Pink Floyd: Whish I was there
Yet again Thank you

I don't think you are any older than I am plus I have rode with a 6'-6" American on a 200cc bike in China before and the popular in China is still booming. Wish you were there

Lerxstdawg,

Are you referring to the hand digged cliff hanger road in the Taiheng mountains? If yes, it is no match to the "Road of Death" in NW Yunnan or the hairpin road of Zada, Tibet. I tried to avoid Central part of China as it is too dangerous to ride on busy National Roads.

Cheers,

Franki

Franki,
Yes, that's the road I've seen, I'd love to have a closer look at it. But now I'm interested in the "Road of Death" and the "Hairpin road of Zada"!!
Cheers,

Lerxstdawg.

This road is dubbed "The Road of Death" by visitors travelling along the Nujiang river up into Tibet. I took this photo of Jonathan on the same road. Read more about it at my rider report:
