yep, a search turned up a nice cheap new one in AZ or an $8999 deal in Oklahoma, but i'm committed to the bandit for a few years. [unless i get hit by a falling pile of money.]

I love mine!! just returned from adding 600 miles on it up at Deals Gap and surrounding areas. It's a fun bike and I can easily do 300 mile days on mine. It'll wheelie with the best of them. If there was a downside to the bike it likes to eat rear tires.
I notice the longer i have the more interested folks are in what it is. When it was new back in '08 hardly anyone asked me what it was. Not the case now days.

a small dealer in moncks corner, sc has three of them. they were asking 10k for a demo model with a couple hundred miles on it. i sent them an online offer of 8k otd and that they were available elsewhere for that amount. they replied with 'let us know when your serious'. i replied with 'let me know when youre serious...and have fun paying floor tax on those bike for the next few years.'
i personally love the b-king and would buy one...but not for 10k.

I agree. At 8K this bike is an absolute steal if you're into it.
You never know what will be valuable, but I do have a feeling this bike could be a good collectible. They are unique, there aren't that many out there, and most of the ones out there are likely to end up mangled (that's a lot of HP to mess with) or heavily modified away from stock. Life is short. Look hard and I bet you'll find one. Not that dealers have to make room for "new" Suzuki's they might be in a better mood to deal. EDIT: How about this? What's crazier than a B-King? A B-King with a SIDECAR! The HP of 5 Urals for less than the cost of one! http://www.fasterandfaster.net/2010/02/dj-sport-suzuki-b-king-sidecar-outfit.html

The local dealership has a "Demo" B-King with very few miles. It's got a pair of Yosh' CF cans on it, as well as the really nice Suzuki wannabe CF trim for the heel guards, triple tree, and tank. The thing is sweeeet!
Two years ago they tried to sell me the same bike before all the add-on goodies, and they wanted to sell it to me for like CHEAP.... I wanted it, if not for ego, then for the power on which to load hard bags and tour the States. I still want one. BUT...... that damn machine is W I D E ! And if my 5' 1"ness could figure out a way to touch a tippie-toe down, were it to fall in the parking lot..... there just seems to be sooooo much stuff that would break, dent, scratch, AND tear off!!! I think this is one bike where 'EXCESSIVE' is cool, and overkill ROCKS! |

I'm more interested.
A nice review here.
A new bike in Phoenix for just $7999 plus tax, doc. and license. If I were in the market, I'd be sorely tempted!

The Bking is probably the best bike I have ever owned.

The local dealer here has two.. still advertised at full MSRP. They'll probably still be there five years from now..
I had a chance to ride one with Yoshimura pipes, a Yosh fender eliminator kit, and bar end mirrors. I was absolutely astonished at just how much I liked the bike (I'm an old fart, so I'm not all that much about sport bikes). The performance was beyond anything my old bones has ridden, and (to me) pitching that gawd-awful stock exhaust and rear fender, along with the mickey-mouse mirrors, really cleaned up its looks. If I had the room and the resources, I'd probably buy one.

I have a feeling it's going to be just like the 80's Katana, no body wanted them until later I've been wanting to get one for that exact reason.

I will try and upload a recent tail pic of my Bking after ditching the stock exhaust, fender, fender frame hanger and relocating the rear signals and tail light. I also threw away the stock mirrors and added some cheap bar end mirrors. It ain't the same looking bike now. I am currently working toward doing away with the undertail exhaust all together in favor of a Brocks full system shorty with a ECU re-flash similar to what everyone does to a Busa. I do currently have the stupid exhaust valve open permanently on mine and it makes a huge difference in power delivery. The valve is only there to help with noise suppression. Don't believe the hogwash about developing more low end power with it operational.
