1st minibke.
Fish,
Thank you! I have no pics of my minibike I built with Pop's help when I was 12. . We hid it in his barn so my mom and granma wouldn't know. Very similar. A joy to build and ride at 5 mph. Started my motorcycle road to now. Got 12 in the garage. Again. Thanks. Keith I will start this thread with a pic of myself on the very first minibike I ever rode. Here is the bike that started it all. ![]() I could barely touch the ground back then too! [/QUOTE]

Me on my Yamaha in 1970......
Shortly after bringing my new Yamaha R5B home......my first bike. The year was 1970. I had a couple of friends who rode to high school on Suzuki 250 Hustlers. We had great times riding that summer.......This little Yamaha was a rocket.
I was 16 years old in the picture. Taught myself to ride in the neighborhood...... Piper72 screwed with this post 01-27-2011 at 04:04 PM |

I wanted a better look at the bike, so I leveled the picture... I've attached it below. It's still too yellow, but I'm not so good at fixing that.

My first bike was a DRZ in college. When spring break came around my friends took a booze cruise to Mexico. I took the DRZ on a long road trip to the Smokies and to the beach... Ah to be in college and no responsibilities...
