It was a Sears something or other. Had a 3.5 hp Briggs & Stratton. It started the sickness that continues today, with a vengeance.

Not quite as old as most of the others, but this was my 1st bike, back in 1997: a 1989 ZX-7 H1. Nice bike, albeit pig heavy with a seat which was hard as rocks. But I had lots of fun on it!

And this is my current ride, a 1999 TL1000R which gives me miles of smiles, as well as my girlfriend with her 1st bike:

WOW That's so good I just had a flashback! That's her alright; the color and detail are excellent.

Not first bike I bought, but definitely the first I rode after I got my license.

Christmas in the Valley! They had just got one in at Glendale Yamaha in December 1970, and it was mine.

Lots of smiles

Paid a friend $1500 for this bike in 1997. Don't remember what year it was. Great first bike. Wish I still had it.

I also wanted to share this pic of me and my mom. Unfortunately she is wheelchair bound now and the days of her smiling and laughing are probably long gone.

And just to indulge, this is my mom and dad on my first bike and my favorite picture of them. He is beginning to feel the effects of post polio syndrome and she has parkinson's.

They think I am a little crazy for always wanting to ride especially in the rain.

I cant find any pictures of it but my first bike was a 1976 Yamaha GT80. Same as this one.

I was about 6 then. Now im 15 and im riding my very own 1984 XR500. That 80 was a sweet lil bike. I remember rebuilding it multiple times in our very small shed getting it ready for our rides. At the time my Brother (KLXplode) was on a 1979 Yamaha 175. Those were the good days. If i had the lights and stuff for it I could have made it street legal. Sadly its long gone.

Had several earlier bikes, but this was one of my earlest and one of my favorites. Motorcrossed it for years. I still have it.

Those weren't stock forks were they? A 66 Superhawk was my 3rd bike.

Obviously not mine, but I have the one in the background with the down swept pipes. It is still in my folk’s garage. I bought it in 1971 shortly after getting my license.

I wonder the same. The kick starter kicked rewarward, not forward like other Superhawks I have seen and with VW silencers instead of mufflers and a 350 kit installed the previous owner did some customizing so no telling about the forks..
