My first, a well used 1988 FZR 400 bought for $1,500 in 1993 while stationed at Yokota AB, Japan.

Mine came in a box for $15.00 and many trips to the Sears store.

Circa 1972 - 16 years old on my 1970 Suzuki TS-250. It wasn't my first bike (no pics) but it was my first two-stroke.

OK, I'll play

I learned to ride on my Dad's Honda 50 cub pit bike. No pics.
Graduated to an Allstate moped as seen before, then a 65cc BSA (A Beagle, I think). Finally this 1959 BMW R26. I got my M/C license on this baby when I was 15 (only 13 hp). Still have it.

This picture was made in 1974, I think.

My first bike. 1990 Honda CR125R. Clapped out.

paid $300 for it. Fixed everything I could and rode the crap out of it crashing along the way.

3rd bike, Wichita Falls, Texas, '72. 1st bike was a yamaha 50cc, step through frame 3 speed automatic, then an old trail 90, a big step up in power, 4 speed auto, link front suspension, did lots of off road and hill climbing with it. Tried to beat it to death, but you couldn't kill it, it was bulletproof. Got my license on it at 15, have had a bike license ever since. Then dad showed up with this '72 SL125 Honda for my birthday, I liked to have died. Could not believe it. Got it from a honda shop downtown, had a couple hundred miles on it, a kid had wrecked it and sold it back to the shop, so dad bought it cheap. Front fender was kind of banged up, but that was all. I put a plastic motocross front fender on it using a Kawasaki mount, spray painted it and added a 'cool' stripe to give it a little 'edge'. Rode it all though high school, never had a car. We lived in a duplex on base next door to my best buddy, Randy, his dad bought him a new bike at the same time, a 175cc two stroke yamaha enduro, a beautiful bike, gold and wicked fast. I was glad to have the 4 stroke....

So, this was a decade or three ago. Yep, 31 years ago. And it was my second bike, bought after I returned home from the big OE. It is the same as the first bike, which was also a Honda CB350.

This particular one isn't mine, but my first bike was exactly like this. Same year, same color, etc. Loved this bike and rode it for a long time.

I had a blue on Stratlanta, one of my favorite bikes ever. It was my first street-legal bike. The other ones I just rode on the street anyway.........

You know, I've even looked at picking one up to putt around on and for the sake of nostalgia, but they are hard to find in good shape. Plus, they are selling now for 3x what we paid for it way back when I got mine, and it was an "old" bike when I got it!
