Sure hope so..

If it works, great, if it doesn`t then so be it, i`ll take the beating.. When the topic comes up again we can at least say we tried and it didn`t work.. Here`s the proof..

Nice lab experiment

http://www.advrider.com/forums/attac...6&d=1268998832

Nice gesture... but it'll dissolve faster than a mint lifesaver in a can of coke...

The whole premise of the "off topic" conversation, is that there was a topic to begin with... While this little playpool will be piddled in for a while and ultimately turn sceptic and get turfed to the sewer by the sanitary staff... or it'll go stagnant of its own accord and end up off the face of things to die a natural death... like all else.

Thread jacks and off topic conversations are often (if not alway's) caused by the catalyst of (seemingly) otherwise non-related conversations. There a fact of life... like cancer, they can be a pain, but they are inevitable (for some).

Hence "off-topic"... this will be another n... no... no - I'm not gonna say it... another one of those "scribble board" threads that will most likely fizzle away.

The only true long lasting scribble board thread got canned... well put downstairs anyway... and the last time I looked; it was trundling along happy with it's place in the world under the ADV waterline.

Has Nev found the cure for cancer...? Dunno? Maybe?

This one... 20 pages... tops and mostly outta curiosity value.

Not trying to steal anyones glory Rod, just thought it easier to start this one stating some ground rules rather than posting a message in the middle of the mess your thread had turned into..

When are you coming back to visit us in Melbourne mate??

g'day mates or is this where I tell everyone to fuck off?

The snow is gone and I got to ride my bike for the first time in 3 months so let's stick with g'day.

I've seen g'day spelled a couple ways, g'day and g/day. Which is right?

No worries Nev, I just couldn't find a "tongue in cheek" smiley. It's all good mate.

I just need a good excuse/invitation

Hey?---when you say "mate"--d'ya mean "mate", "mate", "mate" or "mate"?...bit hard to tell....but anyway in order, the answer(s) to your question is (are)....."good, ta"......."orright, why?", ........."what's it to you?" and "............................... "

This may or may not work Troy.. At the very least, we gave it a try and will end the " Jo Momma Aussie Style " debate once and for all..

Will it stop off topic thread jacking?? I doubt it will but I hope it reduces it some.. Time will tell but as per usual, it only works if the inamtes want it to work..

As far as the other thread you didn`t name.. This isn`t placed here to recrute members, its not to form a team.. Maybe I should change the thread title again to include this..

So to kick things off in a sensible manner, are there any fans of the "Survivor" series here? There's a thread over in the Jomomma area but we're already about a month behind the US episodes, so it's impossible to join in without spoiling it for yourself because we're so far behind the tribal votes business. I've always been a big fan of it. It's great entertainment and fascinating to see how humans interact. Especially as the lure of a million dollars grows closer. Group dynamics are a huge part of human interaction. Even on something as simple as a group ride, you can observe them at play (I'm not going to even mention this whole forum and how it rolls. That's just too complex to be considered sober ). Anyone willing to nominate a winner at this early stage? Evil Russel gets my vote, simply because he's just left the last series and is switched on to the "game", plus I reckon he's the best player ever.

My first and last post here.

I thought the nONGA stuff in the basement was for precisely this sort of dribble. And that's where it belongs - in the basement.

Nev, shame on you. At the rate you do 180 turns you'll be electable soon.

It seems that nowadays one only has to whine long enough and your wish will be granted. Remember the old adage, "spare the rod and spoil the child", it seems to apply here.

Goodnight forever.
