I have an 07 STX auto navara. The gearbox is the best part about it. I had some troubles early on with the brakes and engine. The engine would loose power, but was fixed under warranty and has not been a problem since. Brakes on the other hand, the original rotors were done at 25000kms. Nissan offered up new rotors as a gesture of goodwill. When I took it into get fixed, they told me I have to pay for labour and pads. Told em to get fucked, took it to my local mechanic who replaced rotors and pads for less than the nissan labour charges!! Car has not missed a beat since. Has some cosmetic issues though!

As for dual mass flywheels, think most cars use them now. Nissan are not the only manufacturer to have problems with them. Plenty of toyota's also suffered issues.
