I think he was trying to tell him something about a Chevron Station and Hwy 90.

(Bato, I couldn't understand you because of the plugs in my ears.)

I hired these guys who had just put a new?(NO LIGHTS) box on their pick up to haul me down to Mazatlan for repairs.. I agreed to pay 2000 peso's. Before we took off the brothers both did the sign of the cross, pumped the brakes to get the hydralic fluid going and off we went. After we were about 20 miles, I was asked if I wanted to stop for weed, but told them nothing until were were safe in Mazatlan. Another 20 miles and they stopped and asked if I wanted to get some snort, again I told them nothing until we reached Mazatlan. After another 20 miles I finally agreed to buy them 2 cervaza's, nothing more.. We did reach Mazatlan safely, tired to unload the bike but they had pulled the keys to make sure before we unloaded at Pemex they were paid. Just good business.

Wow, that is familar...
I was near San Fransiscito (sp?) when I tossed a motor, This fisherman and his family stopped to offer help, we loaded in their truck and off we went. I offered him everything I had (20,000pesos) to take me to Ensendada (500+ miles). I bought gas along the way and once in Ensendada I handed him my entire stash of cash, he took 400 pesos and some the snacks I had bought for his kids and refused to take anything more.

Later this year I am riding back to his home prepared to anything I can to support his family and brining a load of toys and clothes....

No matter how bad people say Mexico is, you always meet the nicest people there...
