Maine is also another state that it's relatively easy to obtain a new title from. I see an unusual number of bikes in S.F. with Maine plates..
I had Maine plates on my EX500 for a year. International Title Services licenses bikes through Maine because if they are 15yo or older, you don't need a title. Then, you just transfer plates and apply for a title in whatever state you are in. My EX500 didn't have a title and this was the easiest way to do it.

Mullet5... I'll be i can get those bikes titled in no time here in oklahoma... they'll be 2011 ASVE brand, and you'll have to pay the $100 tax on them but you can do it....

same way i street titled my '04 KTM 450... bad thing is now i have to pay higher taxes on it every year.

Custom build sheet, no big deal. couple hundred bucks total to get it all done in state fees and the tag.

No updates?
Hope that he didn't get snatched up by the remnants of the Soviet KGB... for trying to reverse engineer their secret, proven technology and manufacturing processes.

Mullet, please setup a PAYPAL account so we can send you $5-$10 each to get the project back off its sidestand.... I am serious. And based on many other threads, people will donate money without you even asking. We all appreciate great, sometimes insane projects. Helping fund such craziness is never a bad thing!

I'm in for $10.

It's like buying yourself a Christmas present - without the garage clean-up.

You had me at "...we thought it would be fun..."

I will gladly contribute to a fund just to pay you for the last hour of entertainment I've had reading this thread.
I was going to suggest 'hippy bicycle builders' back in the thread when you were figuring out what to do about your steering tube, sure glad I didn't make that mistake.

Well..., the old KGB could just conifiscate all of our wealth, but I think if only a few hundred people Paypalled him even a small amount, like $1-10 each it would help!

This was one of threads that got me regularly reading Adventure Rider as well!

Ugh???? If we sent him that much money he could go buy a new one couldn't he.

Then what fun would that be?
