Hi Maciek!

In Foz do Iguassu you can find a nice place i have been there some time ago the name is Albergue da Juventude or Hostel Paudimar , here is the website http://www.paudimar.com.br/index.php on the bottom have the address easy to find. Nice place swimming pool safe parking attendents ask english and of course...cheaper. Another is on the way to Iguassu Falls , not remember the name but if you ask in any petrol station they tell you more

Hey you will pass in front of my city Guarapuava if you have some time maybe we can drink a beer or more??! Just send a PM wait you on highway and you have a place to stay no problem , we are "travellers friendly"!

Cheers and ride safe

Well my last 2 trips to the Brasilian consulate were to a packed office. I don't have it in me to sit around that long.

I think I will wait and get the visa in Montevideo.

Yeah dude, Montevideo is totally mellow. Just so you know, in Montevideo the Brazilian embassy and consulate (where you need to go) are in different locations. The consulate is very centrally located in the middle of downtown MV. Do a search on the internet and it will tell you where it is. I learned the hard way that the consulate was not in the same location as the embassy. You literally walk in, and if you havent done the online application thing that they require before hand, they have a computer there for you to use. (at least they did back in January.) Easy peasy. You will wind up waiting all of 10 minutes at the worst. Drop off your passport, pay your equivalent $135 USD in Uruguay currency only, then come back the next day to pick up your passport with Brasil visa.

I'm pretty sure you need to get the visa from the consulate BEFORE the going to the border as Brasil does not issue visas at the border.

Hey Rodrigo,

I saw it, and tried to answer, but apparently you have some kind of protection. The system didn't allow me to send you a DM
