Mini is as mini does... a minibike rebirth...

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my kz1000, but happened to run into this beauty at my local Craigslist...:

A full doodlebug for under $150 was too good to pass up...

She has already been upgraded to a 212CC predator 6.5 HP motor (from the original 97cc).
My plan is to pretty-her up to pass it down to my daughter. I need to get her hooked into motorcycles somehow!!! So excited!!!

Anyway, next order of business is full deconstruction, paint job, jet kit, and maybe a one-off exhaust, along with some turf tires.

So what say you? Is this worth of the "Some Assembly Required" club?

Cool! My early 2-wheeling days were spent on something very similar.

Suspension? We don't need no steenkin' suspension!

Fantastic, my first ride was/is very similar to that. No fenders though. Felt like a total 6 year old bad ass on it, in my white bell 3/4 helmet with a visor/guard on it and some huge leather gloves.

The Sprockets so worn out that the chain would fall off, and a 3.5hp b&s that shook so bad my hands would go numb.

Good times.
