Big sky & bikes...your pics please!

Show us your pictures in which the main subject is the sky and clouds as much as the motos….or more!

For example:

Washington:

These three are in Nevada:

Salt Flats of the Great Salt Lake, UT

A couple of simple techniques I use:

1) wide angle
2) center the frame away from the motorcycle and on the subject, which is the sky
3) look for angles that capture clouds
4) not always but the great majority of the time the best way to make the clods pop yet maintain enough detail on the other subjects like the bike and landscape is to use High Dynamic Range techniques (HDR), otherwise the clouds will either be over exposed and wash out or the bike and landscape will be under exposed and too dark.

Enjoy!!!!

You might have to look closely to find the bike & rider. At the left end of the faraway bluffs. Franklin Bluffs were about 18 miles distant; the rider about 3 miles. Fully extended telephoto.
