Mud Hens

Since we seem to be on a mud theme at the moment…

These were taken on the historic Pony Express Trail between Ft. Churchill and Carson Sink, May 2008. We eventually retraced the trail all the way to Salt Lake City, arriving in time for the World Superbike Races.







Mud was clogging the front fenders on the R1200GS. Some chose to unbolt the fenders…



Others were a bit less patient..

It's incredible to me how different the bikes look on their sides (or tops ). I would say I'm pretty well versed in IDing bikes at this point, but some of them I have to stare at for quite some time to figure out what exactly it is.

The whole had two tracks over 2 feet deep and the rest of it was six inches.
The Orange Fiat doesn't run on water to well either.
Thats a LC4E that looks like a minibike in there.
