That is some serious sand. I'd be down a few times riding in that all day.

Dude! The trail is up here!

I can't remember the last time I saw a bike roll down a hill sideways. Fortunately, the pilot bailed off the uphill side before the bike went over.

So THAT'S why you're not supposed to go blasting into mud holes by yourself?

(BTW, this pic was after 40 minutes of shoving and digging out of the hip-deep mud in the middle of the hole)

This happened a few months back but I finally got round to uploading some pictures! I had just spent three months rebuilding the bike, first outing since then and im playing chase with my riding buddy up ahead. It was a little more slippery than I thought!

And this is where it started to go wrong

I learnt from the mistake, next time I need to give it the beans and I will definitely clear that ditch!

From a ride a couple weeks ago.

The view from the trail:

The view from below. The uppermost rider is standing on the trail.

It was very fortunate that the pilot bailed off the uphill side & didn't go down with the bike.

the spot

I can never leave a bike down long enough to take a picture, but here's the spot.

nasty

Broken signal lense, dent in tank, tweaked+scuffed F fender, busted front brake lever, bent up foot brake, new muffler is damaged.

signal lense/brake lever/gas puddle on pavement.
I saw this coming and still it took me down.
The "bead heads" of the top of the asphault's gravel was more slippery than the untouched frost! To slippery to stand bike up with out help.
This is a turn approaching a wood deck bridge. Never made the crossing.

You need at least four extra people to do it properly.

One to help, one to take pictures, one to point and laugh, and one to find a trail around the mud hole, and call you a dumbshit.

My bike got sick and died.

Earlier in the day my bike had been drinking a lot and got sick. before i could pull the poor girl over, she puked her guts out. how rude. especially at 90.
