I explored Bladen Lakes a little bit more before heading home today. Didn't get too far off the main road as I was riding solo and didn't want to get stuck out there, but it shows a lot of promise for another riding area. It's close to Cape Fear ATV park for those that know that have been out there...

Thanks for the map. I found one but not as detailed.

Brunswick Tag

Tag pic:

This Pond is located along a scenic byway (named for the Town that gave the county its name) that carries visitors to two popular, historic tourist sites. One of these sites is now closed to the public indefinitely. You'll find the iron gates at the head of its sandy, live oak covered drive closed. Continue on down the byway for the tag.

And do be careful of the gators. They get quite large here.

This should be an easy find. More clues can be found in the photo.

Brunswick County Tag, Orton Pond just off Hwy 133 near the closed Orton Plantation.

Colder then I thought it was going to be!

Just after you get off Hwy 74 and get on Hwy 133 you pass these 7 Historic Informatin Markers, I don't think I have ever seen so many in such a short area.

Then the Ferry earlier in the day.

I wussed out and didn't ride after the NC Tag because I just couldn't shake the cold, I don't care if the Tempeture showed 51 degrees I was colder today then Saturday's ride to Weldon!

Ten county tags have been placed and grabbed. Nice tagging guys. 10 down and 90 to go. I hope I have the time to head out after more of these tags in the new year.

When all 100 counties have been tagged I plan to have a cookout for everyone that has played this game.

Thanks to all who have played along so far.

Nice grab, Okie!

I thought about making a run for the NC Tag today, but opted to hang out inside with some heat instead. Too dang cold.

Wow Okie! Good to see you tagging again. When are you heading to Buncombe County? I know I would never get the time to do it but I really liked the idea of going after that Brunswick County tag. Just looked like a really pretty area to ride. I really like the idea of this game because every county eventually will be represented. Great way to learn about this great state.

With work now (I know who would of thought I would get a job) unless I find a file photo to use I'll be making a ride to Buncombe county either Sunday or Monday.

I agree that Fishhunt twist with the county tag is a neat twist and a neat ideal.

Western NC riders let me know if the weather in Buncombe county is terrible or just cold. I have found a few file tags I can use if someone is itching to ride before I get a chance to make it there this weekend.

I would like to ride for a new photo but weather and work might prevent this currently.

Thanks everyone for the patience with me placing the naxt tag. Things like the weather and now working all weekend doing inventory has gotten in the way of things.

I think that was kinda the design of the game, making it sorta a slow game if people wanted it to be for those workin folk(unlike me lol). Not sure if I will get or place any tags on this one, but I like it
