I just don't have the time to place the next tag though. Work is always getting in the way of riding.

OK then I'm headed for the Hoke county TAG.

I have 1 day off this month and Carter is off too so we might go do a father son ride and drop it off on the 24th if I get the TAG first.
It's been a 1 1/2 yrs since we have been TAGGIN together.

Ray, missed your call. Hopefully you're enjoying the weather. You even gave me a heads up and this thing still sat all day 30 minutes away.

Hoke Co GRAB

GRAB!

Old Hwy 401 bridge over the Lumber River at the Hoke Scotland Co line.

I got on the bridge from the Hoke Co. and road through to the Scotland Co side inside the Lumber River State park Gates.

This TAG was 32 miles from my house and I couldn't resist. I checked the radar and said I don't need the rain gear.

Well blue sky and 1 mile from the TAG the bottom fell out while the sun was shining. Rain Stopped just before the TAG and then I ended up running through storms almost all the way home.

I got a little wet.

Well I have the 24th off and will be going to drop off the Hyde county TAG that day if all goes as planned. Anyone else off that day that might want to ride along with me and my son? Will not be a high speed run as I will riding 2 up on the little Ascot. A leisure ride day with no real plans other than going to Hyde county.

Well done Ray! Hyde Co. is #48 which is real close to the halfway mark which is #50 Jackson Co. (That's my home county) It looks like we just have to get past one more long distance run between Hyde and Iredell. Can we get to 50 before the 2 year anniversary on September 13th?

Well I will be waiting for the Lee Co. TAG and have a file TAG for the Lenior TAG. But with Lee being in the heart of the hardcore Flatlanders it will be a hard grab for sure.

OK I have the new TAG location picked out. I get off work on Friday at 8am after a 24hr shift and hope to be on the road by 10am Friday morning. Looks like about 4 hour trip plus at least one fuel stop and butt rest for Carter and I. If it is raining I will still be headed for it but without my son as I just do not want to take the risk with him.

Open Invitation for anyone wanting to go. I am pulling out of Hope Mills and looks like hwy 13 will be the main route as of right now. 2 lane back roads are the majority of the trip.

I would go if not for being scheduled to work. I have a feeling that I will be going down east soon though.

Well if you are not using the Strom, Carter and I wouldn't mind putting some miles on it for you to clean out the cobwebs from it.
