I had all intentions on grabbing Lee this evening but Wifey said I should not venture out in the cold rain while still fighting my cold And since I couldn't really stop coughing long enough to defend my case I conseeded and stayed home. Have to work 36 hrs starting at 7:45 in the am so it will be later in the wek before I can get out to Lee.

Anyone else thinking of grabbing it?

I could grab it, but i cant get to Lenoir for a couple weeks. I was hoping one of the Triangle dudes could snag it and drop it this week so Augie could run it to Lincoln after Thanksgiving.

Sent from the voices in my head and transcribed by their drinking buddy.

Getting it in Lee is just fine. It's taking it to Lenoir that's the issue for me. That and I have a ton of stuff to do around here like scrape and paint all the windows and doors and paint them. Not to mention glazing the 45 individual panes of glass in just ONE of the windows.

I'm leavin the lee tag for a fireman. I think the fire station is just across the tracks anyhow. And he's the only one with a file tag.

As soon as I have a couple hours free I will go grab it. It is looking like friday afternoon before I can get away from work schedule. (sigh)
But by all means if someone wants to grab it go for it. Will not hurt my feelings.

I guess I could redirect through Lillington. I usually use 87 but 401 to 421 could be just as easy. I will text you if I make it out that way.

Sounds like a plan. The way it looks right now I need a break from home. Been going back and forth from here to Lowes/Walmart for about a week.

Lee county TAG

Atlantic and Western Locomotive #12. Sanford NC on Carthage Rd in downtown Sanford.
This Loco was built in 1912 for the Raleigh, Charlotte & Southern RR. Name changed in 1927 to the Norfolk & Southern. Sold to the Atlantic & Western RR in 1946 and operated on 25 miles of track (class III short line) in Lee county and running between Sanford and Lillington. Decommissioned in 1964 and donated to the Historical Socity in 1966. It is the last known Norfolk & Southern Steam Locomotive in Existance. It used to be lettered nicely but is now just painted black. HUH?

Let me eat with the family and I will post up the Lenior TAG in a little bit.

Lenior County TAG

OK first is the TAG shot. The rest are clues. You know the county so the rest should be an easy find.

Have fun and go get it.
