Howdy Steve,

Do you want to tackle this ride with the Urals, sounds like a good time to me.

Timmer,

As soon as you firm up a date for this, please post it so I can see if it will fit into my schedule. I'd love to do this! But I'll probably be the last into camp every night as I'm as slow as a turtle.

Still working on the Spokane presentation.....

Oh, just ordered the map and DVD!

I would love to go also. Either wr or 990. The funny thing is I am less worried about gas on the wr.

I get like 170-230 a tank with that desert tank. Problem is though the 990 I can carry plenty of beerz.

That would be a great ride on the Urals!

Can't go the week before black dog, but that's still early June.

Hey Timmer and others, what about Urals hanging around you guys? Wanna watch us take the hills?

I'm Down!

I'm interested in hitting the trail and camping with ya'll. I live 15 minutes from the north part of the "trail" and I'm down for doing as much as my schedule allows.

North to south or south to north?

Slip us a note when you've got your dates decided on!

Howdy Steve,

I have been in contact with the folks at Tour-A-Tech, they said the Urals should be able to do this the only problems they foresaw were some side-hills might be a bit on the SCARY side. From what they told me in an email there are Jeep by-passes on some of the worst parts that might pose a problem for us. So long as the slope puts the sidecar down hill it wouldn't be a problem unless it was a very steep slope, if it puts the sidecar up hill we would have to take turns riding on each others hack fender to keep the rig from flipping over. These are things that we won't know for certain until we get to them, sounds like an ADV-Ride to me.

It wouldn't be the first time I have had the rig flip over on a side slope.

Possible ADVRider Ride of the WABDR

Hanging around with URALS is totally cool in my book.

Just to throw out a date, how would the week of Aug 1-6 work for everyone?
Another alternative for me would be the week of 7/4.

We need to do this after 7/4 as that's when the rain generally goes away.

Slow and steady wins the race. I'll probably challenge you for last in camp. Ask those who did the GripTwister a few years ago. They may remember when my riding partner and I showed up at camp at 10pm after riding in pitch black over a "little" pass on the peninsula.

Howdy Timmer,

Be honest about it, you just want the Ural's to carry the coolers, ice, beer, steaks, firewood, extra gas, camping gear...............................

Seriously it would be fun to ride with a bunch of two wheeled miscreants, we might need somebody to flip us back on to the rubber side down configuration. Your time frame sounds good to me and starting on the southern end and riding north works for me. Lets kick this around and see what shapes up.
