End Crossbreeding Now
Destination: Wyoming on a whim.
Stimulus: A much needed change of scenery. Duration: 3 days, 1244 miles. Everything you need and nothing you don't to make it happen. ![]() ![]() Skirting rural UT... This guy is proud of his rack. Beautiful... isn't it? ![]() ![]() Suicidal paraglider outside Provo, UT Voted the least fun city in the nation. ![]() ![]() Two sure ways to kill a Tiger-1050-induced adrenaline rush: Road construction and traffic backups. ![]() ![]() I've heard being a rancher is too much work. ![]() The next couple photos are from the Mirror Lake Highway (UT route 150). ![]() Getting off the beaten path... ![]() ... to Teapot Lake where I bonded with nature for a night @ 12K feet. ![]() Return to civilization. I don't know what this place was about. Really. I don't. ![]() ![]() One morning I woke to Flower outside my door. She was a good dog, but she dreweled and needed dental work. Let's END CROSSBREEDING NOW, eh? ![]() ![]() Ahhhh... yes... 90+ miles of unrestricted twisties with no law enforcement in sight. A few views between southern Wyoming and Price, UT, the best of which is along the west side of Flaming Gorge (north of Vernal) and the Ashley National Forest. ![]() Q. What's better than that? A. More of it. ![]() Needing a break, I discovered this cool abandoned outdoor theater... ![]() ... with excellent parking and seating. ![]() No one there to play, but I swear I heard ghostly folk music... ![]() Or maybe it was the sound of a windswept mountain top road calling? Utah route 72. 50 mph. Yeah. Okay.Zoom. zOom. ZoOM! ![]() And finally the familiarity and warmth from sun beaten sandstone to remind me how it's nice to come home. ![]() Shoud've packed a fishing pole. Just got a 1050 Tiger... it has the side bags.... what do you think of the top case? Looks tall from what I've seen ... is it worth the money?

Fun ride report, even if I am a bit partial. You have my bike's twin.

Sure is pretty out west, thanks.
BTW I think that pooch is a skunk-a-poo, latest designer dog fad.

And I know there are bigger issues to chew on, but sometimes things just jump out as belonging to the "that's-just-wrong" category. Let's hope the dog doesn't know the difference. |
