Thanks for the reply with the Versys question. Do you have any pics of another seat with the carbon fiber. I just want to see what it looks like.

Also, your website says $20 for you to install it. Does that include return shipping?

Just sold my Corbin for my XR650L. My plan was to buy a SeatConcepts seat, but sadly, only standard height setup is for sale. Any plan of making low stance one for the XRL? I can't be the only short leg guy needing a more confy seat...

Otherwise, I'll have to make my own. I was ready for fork the money...

the Dakar seat is grey suade with a gripper like material on the sides
see some pictures a few posts down in this thread Suede seat on 990 Adventure 'Dakar'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
think that the chance of the blue matching the blue on the dakar is slim ?
Too much blue on the bike might not look the best anyway
the grey that I have seems to fit in pretty good on the bike
is there an advantage to all suade or the gripper sides ?
not sure what would look best - what would you recommend ?
thanks for your reply.

Has any body tried the new Seat Concepts low seat for the Dr650?
How about any Pics of the low installed other than the two on the site? Thanks Joe

Actually the Dakar seat has a shiny Carbon Fiber look to the sides..... we have these seat covers in stock and install them on our foams upon request.
There is only an advantage if it is REAL suede, it breaths somewhat and has a grippy feel to it. (not as grippy as the rubberized gripper materials) But it has to be maintained to look its best and give you a long service life.
I would only recommend the gripper on a 950/990 if you do hardcore off road riding.
And yes the blue suede is a lighter blue that the KTM blue. It is a good match for Yamaha's.

At the present time we do not have a plan for making a low version. We have had only a few enquiries for a low version, the XRL is not one of our biggest sellers.
I would need to source a bike and see what I can come up with. I do not think it is possible without having a step in the seat like our DR650 low seat.

sorry for so many questions - hope this helps other potential buyers
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does the dakar seat cover you have in stock look the same as what I have only is cut to fit your tall seat foam ?
I am interested in the tall version as at 6'8" a bit of height would be a good thing and I don't like the step seat I have
as it limits your seating to the one position only. I would not say I am a hardcore off roader as I have the 530 for that
and I have your tall seat for that already. It would be helpful to have more pictures on your web site.
thanks again.

Do you guys make a seat cover for a 1200GS Adventure? (08)
I have the original factory seat I could send in? All I'd want is black vinyl, like the one you did for the X Challenge.
Thanks

I just wanted to tell everyone what a pleasure it is to do business with SC.I had several questions that I emailed back and forth, and each time they were answered promptly. In this day and age that is remarkable.I ordered two seats to go with two previous ones. They were sent out the same day. Thanks for the great service.
