BMW USA is still showing the 2010 model on their website.

Is there ANYONE that has a crappier website than BMW?

I have had a difficult time finding much on their site, but I thought it was just me?

BMW's website may deserve a post of its own here on Aventure Rider, for "constructive criticism". It may get to someone at BMWNA that can do some good.

Anyone have any idea why the title of this thread (started by me) was changed from "BMW R1200R" to "2011 BMW R1200R"

Weird, since I titled the thread with a broad discussion of the R1200R model in mind.

Mods?

There is a giant thread about the r1200r somewhere in road warriors.
You at least escaped the merge.

I don't know what kind of problem you got with the BMW page.

I have a 240 mile round-trip commute. The first half is 85 mph interstate, the fun half is 40-60 mph through light traffic twisties. I usually refuel with 20-25 miles-to-empty showing on the OBC. Approx 5.0 gal to refill just above the bottom of the filler tube - so 45 mph average and still climbing. I've stuffed as much as 5.5 into the tank in one filling, proly still had nearly a half gallon before the fill.

cheers,

The bike looks real nice with the matte paint. I know the R12R got a facelift and the new motor but does anyone know when we might see a major overhaul on the bike?

As promised I am contacting you when the 2011 R 1200 R information is released.

We’ve been told it will be end of February 2011 release (no exact date has been given).

Base MSRP will be $13,395.00. Depending on how you would like your R 1200 R equipped, the price will vary.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

It really is just about a perfect bike. I've interested in one and dont want to get one if there will be a major change to following year. It looks like the new motor and paint job will keep the 2011 going for a few years.
