Hot Days in the Valley mean...
it's time to head to the shore. Temperature drop of 10 C between my house and Canada Creek, which is about 10 miles from the door step. That put the temp at 16 C on the shore.
![]() ![]() After stopping here I found a gravel road to Halls Harbour which is further away from Home. ![]() As you can tell it was uber crowded on the beach front. Fog was thick on the other shore but mostly blue sky over head. Most of the people, and there were plenty, were stuffing there faces with lobster and fish and fries on the other side of the wharf. ![]() Big Grey Pig hanging by itself. Self portrait of the rider. 16 C may seem cool for many but I had all the vents open on the jacket and no liner. Spent too many years up north to really enjoy anything over 20 C to be honest.

Blomidon plus some valley view
Drove some twisties to capture a pic of Blomidon.
![]() 2 Quarts for $5 or a flat of 8 for $16. The berries are perfect right now. Beemer Bags can handle bringing these home. Next crop is raspberries and on and on. The Annapolis Valley has a lot of farms so no one should need a food bank in the non winter months. You just need to be willing to work to get the food. ![]() This picture was not edited at all, so you can imagine how red these really were. (past tense - as they have now been eaten)

Last Two Pics
![]() Kids on the beach near Canada Creek. No one goes in the water, at least not for long since it is freezing cold. ![]() Fog bank on the far side - this shot would be approximately pointing at Spencers Island, Nova Scotia if you could see it.

Down the road from my house...
I took in the annual Kingston Steer BBQ today. The Lions club serves over 1700 pounds of beef at the event. 2nd Saturday of July. John Deere was the official sponsor to move the Beef from the cooking area to the prep area.
![]() Carving it all up. ![]() Steaming hot from the ovens. ![]() These guys are not familiar with inflation - $5 for this plate or $7 for the deluxe Sliced roast beef and all the fixins.
