As we are all dog( and cat) lovers, please tell me I am not the only one that gets choked up sometimes, when those Humane Society commercials, with Sara McLachlan song, come on.

I live outside Philly ( south NJ), so every morning on the news, there is talk of deaths of people. Does not really phase me. But animals, being hurt or killed, usually for no good reason, really pisses me off. I guess I just like animals more than people.

( I eat meat and am fine with livestock being raised and slaughtered for food..as long as its done humanly as possible....disclaimer over)

All beautiful dogs guys. Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one too. Did not think I was...at least did not hope I was.

My only regret is not having a bigger house and more money so we could rescue more. Any more than the two we have, and we start to become the " crazy dog people".. LOL

my first best friend circa 1984

This was the front page of the newspaper. They had done a story on me as I had gotten a ticket for;
1) unsafe load
2) passenger in front of driver
3) dog on gas tank

This was staged on the boulevard in front of where the dog and I worked.
Before hemet laws! I know...

The print media has a habit of reversing photographs to suit their perception of "how it should be", and they have done it to me...

Oscar we got as a 7 week old, 15 lbs puppy, he's a big dope, loves everyone, and will do about anything for food.

Ivy is a Great Pyrenees rescue. she has some dog "issues", but is really sweet. All business this one.

they both preferred the snow last winter, but are able to get more hikes in this year at least.

There are special individuals, and there are faulty ones

This looks like a wonderful pair of dogs above CowboyKyle.
Certainly every dog has it's own personality and traits.
I have had some that over their whole lifetime would not convert to proper
behavior.

Still never gave up on her and she reached old age and a well rounded life.
But she was held back due to those personalty flaws.

Meet Clipper...
Looks like a little darling egh? Well...
