We'd be delighted to accept your brother's involuntary servitude. He, of course would be appalled by our low mechanical standards, lower aptitudes and personal hygiene. We abide by "the more the merrier" philosophy and would welcome anyone who would listen to us whine and complain incessantly. The next round is Oct 26. We'll be there.
As far as tire chains go: I've never used them. We use rally studs that have carbide tips and cost enough to affect the trade deficit every time we buy a box. They don't grip the ice as well as screws but they can be used on any surface on earth.
A lot of the TW200 guys use chains. I'll do some asking around to see where they get their pre-fabbed ones.
