danielson,
That green RE is a very nice conversion. Saved that photo along with yours and Snoopy's for inspiration.
I am getting ready to migrate south to Florida for the winter so maybe I will have better luck finding a donor RE there.
That diesel just looks right in the RE.

Here's another one. Looks like he double looped the frame or is this an older RE?

Yeah most people when they see mine think its original.
Those photos. That frame has been modified. It is fitted with a 350cc Hatz IB30 engine.
I didn't modify the frame because it would've been harder to get thru registration.

Yeah, it's been in the garage while...

1. fit a regulator for electrics
2. sort out the gearbox issue
3. design a proper shifter lever
4. sort out the front brake
5. sort out the center stand
6. sort out the inner primary leak

I've a w124 that's had all the attention and only need to sort the Enfield for spring.

Hi Snoopy,

Great stuff, i've been reading this since you started the project

I like the idea of a diesel bike especially the Track DCI 800 but the Enfield seems very well suited for an inexpensive home conversion.

Looking forward to seeing the finished bike.

Brilliant!

FP.

Nice one Snoopy! Don't mind the ukgser haters

A friend in Austria mentioned this bike to me a while back. No idea it was your goodself working on this project.

of course I am biased as a GS to DRZ / ex ukgser myself.

Mr. Everywherevirtually,

you know that there is an Enfield waiting for you in the namely shed in Austria, if you want, plus I figured out, how to register it in Austria with a Diesel installed.

Cheers,
Greg

Twin crank parallel twin diesel

It's in this bike.....

Fascinating engine, but...this.. from the benefit of a blank slate? Good lord. Is ugly really still selling these days? Tonka's design team must be freelancing.
