This bike, I was afraid to receive. I knew it'd be too cool to get rid of, but I really wanted to focus my money on the sidecar rig. Oh well! Life is rough sometimes..









Someone boogered with the transmission top, so I wonder if I can booger with the side and put a starter on this bike..



How do I unlock this? Besides turning the key..

Interesting adapter plate there--looks to be cut from a VW transmission, therefore the starter mount. I think you'd end up hitting oil if you tried to remove enough transmission to clear a starter. Motor looks like a stockish single carb 40 horse, and it should kick easier than a /2, as they had minimal compression (7.5ish).
