Given the relatively small production numbers for these bikes would it be kind of cool to put together a 690 Registry? I am guessing the last couple of numbers in the VIN represent the build number? thoughts?

during discussion at factory in austria recently,we were told they have in region of 7,000 made in E&R guises worldwide.....

It is pretty much stock, with Risers, B&B Rack and Corbin seat. 24,000 relatively trouble free km's
