Nice packing job.
It's a real hassle removing and restrapping all that gear though when you want to fill with fuel.

I built this and you lift all the gear off and put back on at once.

No need to unstrap/restrap everything.

I did a big trip with about 40 fuel stops in 10 days, and it made it very easy and quick

KTM 690 pulling a trailer?

Heres my 690 in Copper Canyon. Nuthin' special added except pipe, stabilizer and bash plate .....yet. I'm thinking about a trailer to pull extra fuel and hold my American Tourister luggage. Any suggestions here?

What is your source for that hardware, especially those spring loaded things?

Go with Sampsonite; cheaper and available in pastels.

Don't forget the great big cheesey fairing and windscreen up front cause you sure don't want wind in your face.

The spring loaded things i got from a local boat shop. They are stainless steel.
They were $20 AUS each.
4WD accessory places can probably get them in as well.
The rubber bumpers came from a clarke rubber store (australia).
They had a great assortment of premolded rubber things.
These needed replacing after a 6000km trip and need to be tougher.

I got the 6mm aluminium plate cut square from a local metal fabricator shop.
I then did the markout and gave it to him for cutting/slotting and bending to my marks.
He made the stainless brackets with the slots as well.
The countersink bolts came from a bolt shop or hardware store.
These holes i then marked, drilled drilled and countersunk.
I then paid $30 to have it powdercoated.

The racks are wolfman.

Love these bikes!!!

Man, just when I think I have talked myself out of a 690, I see a thread like this. It is the only bike that makes me giddy about it. I think I should just accept the fact that I will have to get one.

Thanks and keep on with the great pics!

A picture thread like this would get you thinking even about the worst bike
there is.. some people take good pics.

What you need is a "690 Enduro owners problems thread"
