Hopefully, one of these days, I'll get a picture of me actually riding the bike.
This pic looks like an advertisement. Nicely done.

690 or not ?? that is the big Q !!!

Hey everyone,

I'v just found a love for dirt this year.. and selling my ttr250..

What do i do now, wait for the Freeride 350 or buy the 690..

I cant test ride the 690 on the trails so I dont know whats it like.. This the 690 too big..

I'm 5'11" and 90km and fairly strong is the 690 going to b hard to handle the soft deep sand in Western Australia ??

Is lighter better ????

This thread isn't the place for that discussion, however the 690 does very well on the trail despite it's heavier weight compared to that little 250. This might help you... http://my2wheels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8449

My 690E in Morocco

My 690E ready for the 2011 edition of the Raid Passion Desert Maroc:

And in Morocco in Spring 2011:

Me an my bike on the Zagora to Merzouga stage

In Erfoud, after crossing a few muddy queds (rivers)

Maintaining my bike in Merzouga

In the dunes of the Erg Chebbi

Erg Chebbi, after digging out my bike :-)

Stage Merzouga to Missour. Better don't get too far to the right...

Between Merzouga and Missour

Somewhere near Missour

Muddy pistes in the Atlas Mountains north of Midelt

This is the result of riding through mud for hours...

In Kheifra, my bike needs to be washed really bad

At the end of the Raid in Marrakech, I'm disconnecting the battery to make the bike ready for being trucked back home

Back home again, the bike is ready for thorough wash

All my pictures of the Raid Passion Desert Maroc from April 22 to May 1, 2011 are here:

+1 the stock mirrors are junk. I like the double take mirrors.

The Highway dirt bikes mirrors are a great option, they fold out of the way inside the hand guard. Many thousands of miles with zero problems!
