Bikes Equipped w/Factory Electronic Cruise Control...

I'm in the market for a new (or late model used) European bike and have come to appreciate the comfort of an electronic cruise control. As good as my previous Kaoko units have been, they just haven't delivered the full comfort required by my damaged right hand.

As I see it, the factory cruise control option limits me to a late model R1200RT(?)

But... enter the 2015 Triumph 800 XRx and XCx, both equipped with factory cruise control, so now I'm (almost) ready to move on that bike. But before doing so, I'd like to consider other bikes with the factory cruise control feature. One bike that particularly interests me is the new BMW S1000XR but sadly nothing I've read regarding that bike leads me to be hopeful re cruise control.

I'm hoping inmates here might be able to offer some insight regarding newly released and/or soon-to-be released models thusly equipped.

As always...TIA

Triumph Explorer 1200's and the BMW wethead GS have Cruise

Prior to 2015, you going to be limited to a 1200 cc or higher. The new Tiger 800's will probably prod others namely BMW F800's

There are a lot of bikes out there with Rostra and CCS-100 real electronic cruise controls added.

I've put each on V-Stroms.

Look at the thread title there greywolf.

The big Guzzi cruiser has factory cruise, I'm hoping the Stelvio gets it soon.

The Caponord has cruise too.

I did. I also read the reason for the question was the Kaoko throttle lock wasn't good enough. I got the idea the OP may not be aware an electronic cruise control was an addable option.

Thanks all!

And greywolf, I've followed you on the Stromtrooper site and taken much good advice from you. It was my concern re the reliability of the aftermarket units which prompted me towards the OEM cc, hence my OP wording.

The 2015 Multi comes standard with cruise. The SX1000R will be released with it as an option.

The bikes with factory cruise, for the most part these days, are going to be bikes that have throttle by wire. The software to add cruise is easy once you control the throttle.

Not sure if the cable operated, dual throttle bodied Guzzis will get that until the next major re-work of that system.

According to this article my prospects have widened to include the BMW S1000XR, however no word on pricing yet....

Not factory but MC Cruise have been adding electronic cruise control to a range of bikes in Australia for years with good results. They even have a model for the current (pre 2015) Tiger 800 range.
There are plenty of options that don't involve buying a brand new bike if you don't want to.
