hah, I'm in no rush to run it through the loop - but as you remember, I did do the loop a couple times with those very tires on my 450. Mt Misery would be particularly challenging on the 990 but certainly do-able. I think I'm in for a real wake up call when I start pricing replacement parts for this thing. I just want to be able to use an actual big bike on the "big bike rides" here, as well as have a nice two wheeled sofa for commuting on.

No, they had a 2008 model selling for over $2000 more. That's ok. I went up to North Hapton MA. They had 3 Adventures and a 990 SMT on the floor. I was hoping to see my "lotto bike", the RC8, but they sold the ones they had. They also have the Ducati line, so that's nice too.

Nice bike Rob, unfortunately you and I are no longer allowed to talk to each other.. it is the law of Advrider apparently. Too bad I enjoyed your company
I have taken GSA over to Razee's a couple of times to talk trade in on the 990.. I just cant make the $$ work.

oh Rob, that's awesome. Congrats!
![]() I think it's time that the big bike folks SERIOUSLY consider a ride to and in the Pine Barrens in South Jersey. I grew up there (that's right, I'm from Tabernacle New Jersey) and would be happy to help arrange things if you want to do this outside of the PB300. I know where there's lots of soft grey sand, camping, food, historic stuff, weird shit, cranberry bogs and blueberry fields, and yeah, my mom's house (hot shower, good food, better wine).

The South Jersey trip sounds awesome. My family is from Jersey too. I think I've derailed this thread quite long enough. I think we should get back to planning some actual rides. The Berkshire dualsport ride in MA sounds great. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=755308 I also am interested in riding up to Nova Scotia with Al sometime. I have a current passport and have never been to Canada.
