Obrigado!

I want to thank you for bringing back many, many fond memories of several trips I have taken to Portugal... what a wonderful country of just nice, nice people, spectacular scenery, and fabulous food.... the galao and sweets were a treat.

I was there with my family years ago, and must post a favorite photo, taken with the castle on the mountain at Sintra in the background. The colors and tones....oooohh...We all still talk about that trip.

Muito obrigado!

I love projects that take twice as much effort as should be needed. Should be an Airhead motto. (disston)

Portugal really is a place that gets in your head without you even realising it. That's why having worked here for a while quite a few years ago we packed up and moved here lock stock.
Oh and sintra has arguably some of the best sweet cake shops in Portugal. And its a lovely sunday bike ride for me to get there .

I promise I didn't redline it. The camera amplifies the trepidation as well as the noise. I was going really slow, since I was constantly looking around (before you give me any sh#$ about that).

Its about time I showed some more of my days out and about.
First up are some from a couple of weeks ago at a really lovely ancient town of Alcobaca. It helps that it has a rather well known cake shop here too :-)

more to come.....

I also have a couple from Alcobaça from when I went to Faro. I have to dig them up sometime.

Keep them coming!

Today..

Happy birthday to me, Got to go out and about again. We decided to go for lunch in Cascais

Not me by the way

Then drove back along the coast towards Guincho beach. Mother nature was putting on a good show

Then as a special treat I got to watch some of the moto2 practice

After all the excitement I needed some more food so we stopped at Mafra for an excellent cream cake. It just happens to be another lovely place to stop.

That's all for now.........
